About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Specialist to join our team. You will have the opportunity to work for a leading global fintech company specializing in cashless payment solutions, IoT services, and business management software.
Requirements:
- 5-7+ years in accounting/finance roles, with at least 2-3 years specifically in fund accounting, private equity, or venture capital
- Strong understanding of fund structures (LP/GP relationships, carried interest, management fees, capital calls, distributions)
- Experience with GAAP and fair value accounting (ASC 820, ASC 946)
- Familiarity with fund administration and back-office operations
- Proficiency with fund accounting software and ERP systems
- Advanced Excel/financial modeling capabilities
- Experience with portfolio tracking and valuation methodologies
- Knowledge of capital account reconciliations and waterfall calculations
- Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements for funds and management companies
- LP reporting (capital account statements, performance reports, tax distributions)
- Internal management reporting and dashboards
- Coordination of annual audits and tax returns (K-1s, Forms 1065)
- Board and investment committee reporting packages
- Experience managing 2-5 person finance/accounting teams
- Ability to mentor junior staff and delegate effectively
- Cross-functional collaboration with investment, legal, and operations teams
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Big 4 accounting firm background (audit or advisory)
- CPA certification
- Understanding of venture capital investment lifecycle and terminology
